Meet the manager at Raised in Bristol at Felix Road Adventure Playground
We sat down with the lovely Lisa from our Easton nursery Raised in Bristol at the Felix Road Adventure Playground and she told us a little bit about her time with Raised In, what she enjoys about the job and what she likes to get up to in her spare time…
How long have you worked with Raised in Bristol?
I have worked with Raised in Bristol for six years. I started out at Raised in Bristol at Easton Community Centre in 2018 where I worked my way up to Deputy Manager before later becoming the Nursery Manager at Raised in Bristol at Felix Road Adventure Playground in 2022.
What made you choose Raised In?
I wanted to work with Raised in Bristol because I wanted to do something more through my work and be a part of the community so Raised In’s ethos appealed to me.
What’s the most rewarding thing that’s happened to you at work recently?
Seeing all of our school leavers head off to big school is always very rewarding – knowing we helped to ensure they had the best start with us, as they go on to the next stage in their education.
Lisa has been working with Raised in Bristol for six years.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time (...when I have any spare time I should say – as my twin daughters who are 8 keep me pretty busy!) I enjoy eating out and going on holidays with my family. But an interesting fun fact about me is I'm a ghost hunter, I travel to different places with friends to investigate the paranormal!
What Early Years Qualifications do you have and how long have you worked in Early Year?
I have a degree in Early Years and I’ve been working in the sector for 25 years this year!
