EGGSCELLENT: Easter Family Dance Party at Bristol Beacon
A morning dance party bringing the family fun with DJ Quest and Lotte Nørgaard providing a high-energy soundtrack. Expect dancing games, props, and a few surprises, too. The event is aimed at children aged 3-8 but will also be fun for the whole family. There’ll also be a quiet space for children who need time out or have additional sensory needs.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar at Bristol Old Vic
Eric Carle’s colourful stories are being brought to life, from the page to the stage, this Easter at Bristol Old Vic. With 75 wonderful puppets and a charming soundtrack, dive into this magical show. Created by Jonathan Rockefeller, the critically acclaimed The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show is a vibrant celebration of Eric Carle’s adored classics and the perfect introduction to live theatre for the whole family to enjoy.

Easter Egg-splorers at Bristol Zoo Project
This Easter, Bristol Zoo Project invites all Egg-splorers to embark on an exciting, family-friendly adventure. The zoo is brimming with egg-citing activities, including Egg Bingo, where visitors can hunt for patterned Easter egg boards around the zoo and claim a sweet treat. Interactive Egg Activity Boards challenge guests to solve puzzles and uncover fascinating egg-related facts, while expert-led sessions provide a chance to learn about real eggs and engage in egg-themed games. Plus, enjoy Egg-stra Animal Talks, which feature fascinating insights about the zoo’s creatures. Fun for all ages, it's the perfect way to celebrate the season at Bristol Zoo Project!

Easter activities at Windmill City Farm
Windmill Hill City Farm is celebrating the arrival of spring with a variety of activities for families and children during the Easter break. Go and see the trees in blossom around the farm and meet the lambs. They have a variety of animals, a fairy garden and vegetable garden, gravel digger play, a small play area, a sand pit, picnic spots and a great family-friendly cafe! They're running workshops, including a graffiti name design session with Graft on Friday 11th April, Easter Garland crafting on Sunday 13th April, and their popular Farm Club also returns on Saturday 12th April, where visitors can interact with animals and enjoy outdoor activities.

We Are Family: Let’s Make Art Easter holiday workshop at Arnolfini
Join Arnolfini Creatives in Residence, Let’s Make Art, for four days of creative fun this Easter at their We Are Family sessions! Participants will explore the drawing techniques and materials of Barbara Walker, experimenting with graphite, canes, embossing, and large-scale figurative drawing. Older children and adults can dive deeper into Barbara’s artwork by using newspaper articles and embossed figures to create their own expressive pieces. Be sure to wear clothes that can get messy – it’s all about creativity and fun!
