Join the team at Raised in Bristol, a not-for-profit social enterprise providing the very best early years education while brightening the local landscape by investing in our community.

We’re looking for a caring and patient Early Years Educator to provide 1:1 SEN support to one of the children in the Toddler Room at Raised in Bristol at Felix Road Adventure Playground. Our ideal person would ideally have some experience in a similar role with a good knowledge and understanding of strategies to support the child day to day at the nursery.

The setting has just 62 places giving it a more relaxed feel than some larger settings. The nursery is housed in a beautiful timber-framed building overlooking the well-loved Felix Road Adventure Playground in Easton. The nursery has a homely feel, with all the rooms having free-flow access to the newly refurbished garden space.

Located just a 5-minute walk from Stapleton Road and Lawrence Hill Roundabout, both have regular bus links across Bristol, also only a 10-minute walk from Stapleton Road train station and easily accessible by bike. There is also free on-street parking in the local area.

Why work with us?

We really value our expert team. As well as offering competitive pay for all roles in a friendly and supportive team, you’ll receive lots of great benefits:

  • At least the Real Living Wage & more for qualified Level 3+ Practitioners

  • Paid lunch break

  • 50% off for your child in our nurseries

  • Enhanced maternity pay

  • Employer pension

  • ‘Refer a friend’ bonus for introducing new team members to us

  • 32 days holiday (inc bank holidays and Christmas closure, FTE)

  • 24/7 access to remote GP and Counselling Services

  • Career progression and training opportunities

What about you?

You’ll have a passion for education and making a difference to the lives of children along with a positive attitude – always seeing ‘the glass half full’ with a A ‘make it happen’ perspective. You will need to bring energy to every task you take on with a solution-driven approach to problems. You’ll be reliable, hard-working and have a ready-to-learn mindset. It’s vital to have some experience of working with children on a 1:1 basis.

To apply for this role, you will need to have a relevant qualification in early years – NNEB, NVQ Level 3+ (Childcare & Education), BTEC (Childcare) or equivalent, or higher qualification such as Foundation Degree or BA Hons in early years education or child development.
